The Audette VELOS was driven by a fundamental philosophy of ‘no compromise,’ where performance and elegance take priority over all else. From the beginning, engineer and designer Tony Audette set out to build a motorcycle to master the style of riding he loves: the American backroads.
This meant he needed a machine with flawless handling, intoxicating torque, and power available at the flick of the wrist with comfort that allowed him to be completely immersed in the experience.
Former Marine Corps heavy machine gunner, Tony Audette, served in the exiled places of Afghanistan. His eight-man squad, literally lost on the company’s roster and not resupplied for months at a time, became known as the ‘Exiled 8.’
Throughout this time, he carried with him his love of motorcycles and an insatiable desire to build his own. As a veteran and back in civilian life, Audette decided to do just that – setting out not to build any bike, but the best American motorcycle there is.
Taking lessons from his time on the battlefield, “no compromise” served as his guiding principle. The VELOS was inspired by Audette’s desire to build motorcycles that characterize mechanical excellence and material elegance. He wanted his motorcycles to be pure, refined, and captivating. Like any master of their trade, Audette honed in on the fundamentals, obsessively perfecting the details.
Building on these foundations with one single purpose. To create a motorcycle so alluring that for the time you spend on it, nothing else in the world matters.
